  Every February, it’s like the world’s national colours become red and pink as it screams with the commercial excitement of Valentine’s Day. All my life, I had the belief that this day is dedicated to lovers. A day filled with dinner dates, petals, and chocolate. Until I found out something which turned around everything for me: Galentine’s Day . If you don’t know, Galentine’s Day is the celebration of the women in your life which include your friends, siblings, and other significant non-romantic relations. It has always been celebrated on the 13th of February and has become a strong counterpoint to Valentine’s Day. It is an appreciation of friendship, care, and that special connection which only genuine friends understand. Now, Galentine’s Day has been the highlight of February for me.
